Pheasant Ridge Hiking/Biking Trail
Are you up for a nice walk? The Pheasant Ridge Trail offers a 3-mile trail just off US Highway 183, from Park Avenue West and South Street to Methodist Cove by Harlan County Lake. Easy walking with benches and scenic views of Harlan County Lake along the tree lined trail. It is not uncommon to come across wildlife in their natural habitat and get a chance to see many species of birds, so take your camera. The past and present Trail Committee members have done a great job in making this a very nice experience.
The trail surface is concrete. Trail activites include: Bike, Inline Skating, Wheelchair Accessible, & Walking. It's trail category is: Greenway/Non RT. TrailLink ID # 6589282. Check out TrailLink by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy for other trails across the United States and where you can find a map of the Pheasant Ridge Trail.
Please remember, if you are riding a bicycle be courteous of others. Announce yourself and let walkers know you will be passing on their left.
Please, NO HORSES. The Peckerneck Horseback Riding Trail is on the south side of Harlan County Lake by the Alma Vista.
