City Clerk Job Opening


The City of Alma is now accepting resumes and applications for the appointed office of City Clerk until filled. A detailed job description is available at  www.almacity.com/employment-opportunities or at the City Office.

The City Clerk works under the direction of the City Administrator, Mayor, and City Council and is the primary public relations asset between the City and its citizens. As a result, a professional oriented, courteous, and respectful attitude is necessary. Computer skills are a requirement. Proficiency or the ability to obtain proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Publisher will be required.

This is a full-time position with benefits. You will be required to attend all City Council meetings and City Clerk training conferences provided by the League of Municipalities and other such training that is considered necessary to fulfill responsibilities.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  EOC employer.
